Here are some pictures that were taken today! I love my boys! David thought it was funny to try to make silly faces in each picture. He has strep throat, but is doing much better today. Jeffery has a big "hurt" on his head from a freak accident in nursery last week and a bruise on his chin from jumping on the bunk bed. I am glad that it was just his chin and not worse. Nathan has taken to calling me "Captain Mommy". :) I think its hilarious.

Pumpkin Patch Saturday
Here is some of our pictures of the pumpkin patch! Thank you to Jason for getting these great pics. The picture of David is of him jumping in a giant pumpkin shaped jumperoo with a jack-o-lantern face. It was new to the pumpkin patch this year, so we were excited to give the kids a chance to play for just long enough to get a couple of pics and for me to want one in my backyard. It was so much fun that as soon as the kids got out, a lady working there then told us it cost $3 a person. oh well. After jumping, we took the kids on the hayride out to the pumpkin patch were we took some more pictures. :)

More funnies from today
I LOVE funny stories, especially when it is something my kids say. I know I wont remember everything they say, but if I write them down, then I can at least enjoy them again.
Oh, by the way, I told one of the moms at playgroup a little about my afternoon and didn' t think it was funny. You might not either, but compared to ever other trial this year alone, plus some of the stuff we went through potty training David, I'd rather laugh at things like this that become very minor than let myself become totally unglued. I've done that before and it doesn't help anyone. So, someone and anyone else reading the previous post might think I've finally cracked.
While I was posting earlier, David and Nathan were sitting next to me on the couch. David found a pink highlighter and was making marks on Nathan saying they were mosquito bites. I wish I had a funnier way of documenting it. It was pretty funny.
When we were on the way home from picking Jason up, I realized that had left a candle burning in the house. Then, for dinner I was cooking ground beef and asked the kids to leave the kitchen so no one would get burned. So when David said the prayer over the dinner, he said "Thank you that Mommy didn't get burned and that our house didn't catch on fire" and Nathan yelled "NOT YET." Funny Funny Nathan. I thought David's prayer was very sweet.
I've written a lot about David and Nathan, so I will fill you in on Jeffery a little bit. That boy is growing! He will be out of a lot of his size 2 stuff soon. His feet are almost as big as Nathans. We bought him size 8 shoes about two weeks ago and he loved them - wouldn't take them off- and all the sudden he doesnt want them on and his toes come right to the end! Wow! Why does it have to happen like that? He is also getting over a black eye and a black finger nail. He is a little accident prone or fearless. I cant decide quite which because he is very coordinated. Vocal, too. This morning he told his teacher at the Y that he needed a diaper change. He loves to watch football and baseball - on TV or live. Soccer, too. Nathan earned his soccer ball today and Jeff seemed bummed that he didn't get one. He also loves to color himself with markers - even his hair.
I wasn't planning on writing a novel. I just want our family who we dont see often to have a connection with these kids.

Mama said there'd be days like this...
Before I say anything more, you need to know that Nathan is doing an awesome job potty training and has picked it up really fast. He has been working towards earning a really fun soccer ball. All he has to do is go potty 15 times in the toilet and has had very few accidents. One more time left to go.
Last night Jason and I went out on a date to Tulsa to see the tour of "So you think you can dance". It was awesome, by the way. When we got home, I noticed the house kinda smelled bad, so I took out the trash and forgot about it. When I came home from work, it still stunk. Low and behold, I found diapers in the bathroom trash. I took it out, lit a candle and left the bathroom trash outside to air out: house still stunk. What did I do? Open windows and started another load of laundry. What is that horrible smell? Finally, I found in the corner of the kids room, under a pile of yesterdays clothes, my favorite thing in the whole world, poopy crusty underwear from last night. Poor babysitter. :( (She probably forgot about it, dealing with 3 kids. As hard as I tried as a babysitter, I forgot stuff too sometimes and I am not upset at all.) So, its so nasty I had to soak it in the toilet, David and Nathan then use the toilet. In the meanwhile, I hear Jeffery grunting near the box of his diapers. He gets changed and while I am dumping it in the toilet, Nathan lets out a blood curling scream. What know? I wonder. "Mommy! I peed in my underwear!" Sure enough, there is just enough to make it damp. Darn. So, I undress his lower half while I am sitting on the (closed) toilet - I still haven't left the bathroom yet - and sit him on my lap to comfort him because he is bawling his eyes out. "It will be ok. Just remember to pee in the toilet so you can be a big boy" and he scoots off my lap. And then the smell hits me. Yes, you know whats coming. Poop all over my "good" jeans and toilet. I am so glad I have a sence of humor. I put the kids in the tub (all 3 want to get in) sit down and think "awww. mess contained" and I notice poop on the wall. And on the vanity. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So friends, when you come over to playgroup in 2 hours and my house is a wreck, except my bathroom that was scrubbed with a magic eraser while the kids were in the tub, and I am in pajama pants, you know why.
Thank you to my mom and all of the other moms for all you do.

Jeffery SB page

I made this page about a year ago about Jeffery for a contest on the creating keepsakes website. The challenge was to use the title "Must be Silly". Thus, I made the page and submitted it and I was happy with the result. Howevery, I didn't win. I also realized that I messed up the title and put "Just be silly". Oh well, I'll pretend thats why I didn't win.
Someone today on a different scrapbooking message board is asking for people's funniest sb pages, so I need to post my page on the internet to put it on the message board, so here it is.
Jeffery grew up, though and no longer does his "wrinkle d nose" face any more. :(
